Soft Furnishings
Mirmac Interiors began life in 2003 as a textiles, soft furnishings and window treatment specialist. We’ve been helping to furnish hotels, bars, restaurants, shops and commercial spaces ever since.
We have the capacity to make curtains, pelmets, headboards, throws and cushions in large volumes for commercial and hotel projects. We also use the same skilled seamstresses who our founder employed at the Laura Ashley factories in North Wales, for smaller, bespoke projects.
We have strong relationships with most leading fabric houses and work closely with designers to help specify the best quality textiles for any given situation.

Soft Furnishings FAQs
What are soft furnishings, and why are they important in commercial spaces?
Soft furnishings include items like curtains, cushions, upholstery, and decorative accessories that enhance the comfort, style, and functionality of a space. In commercial settings such as offices, hotels, and restaurants, soft furnishings play a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional environment while serving practical purposes like soundproofing, light control, and branding.
Can you provide bespoke soft furnishings for my business?
Absolutely. We specialise in creating custom-made soft furnishings tailored to your specific needs. Whether you need handmade curtains, cushions, or upholstered furniture, we work closely with you to design and deliver solutions that perfectly align with your brand and interior design goals. You can see examples of our work in boutique hotels, bars and restaurants, and leading retail outlets including Rover Island and OFFICE.
What type of fabrics can I choose from?
If you’re an interior designer, the chances are we have the same fabric books and leather swatches as you, so we can help in the specification process and guide on whether a fabric is easy to shae around seat pads, back rests and solid panels. We can also advise if you need to value engineer a project down to a particular price point.
Do you offer soft furnishings for specific industries, like hospitality or retail?
100%! We have extensive experience providing soft furnishings for a variety of industries, including:
- Hospitality: Blackout curtains, decorative cushions, and bed throws for hotels. We use curtain tracks from leading manufacturers, inclusing Silent Gliss.
- Restaurants and Bars: Upholstered seating, acoustic panels, and stylish accessories. We use leathers, faux leathers, awide range of durable fabrics, and even new, sustainable ranges made from materials such as recycled wools and plastic bottles recovered from the oceans.
- Retail: Decorative window treatments and soft features to enhance store displays. Changing room curtains, upholstered stools and waiting area furniture; and upholstered feature-wall panels.
Can soft furnishings help with noise reduction in my space?
Yes, soft furnishings like upholstered panels, thick curtains, and cushions can significantly improve acoustics by absorbing sound. This makes them ideal for open-plan offices and zoning between departments or defined areas in a workplace. In busy restaurants and bars, where noise levels need to be managed, curtains, drapes and acoustic wall panels and ceiling baffles can really make a difference.
