L’Alpaga, Megeve, France

L’Alpaga is a luxurious hotel, chalet and spa retreat, nestled in Megeve, in the heart of the French Alps. Part of European boutique hotel group, Beaumier’s collection of prestige destinations, L’Alpaga boasts unrivalled views of Mont Blanc, Michelin quality food, and cosy, homely interiors.

The revamped interior was the brainchild of Charles & Co – led by Vicky Charles, renowned for designing the chic Soho House and Soho farmhouse and high-profile clients, including the Beckhams and the Clooneys.

We worked closely with the client and designer to deliver a holistic interior solution for one of the chalets, the main hotel lounge and reception, and the restaurant. Our work included the manufacture and installation of bespoke armoire units in each room and chalet. The stunning pieces were formed from blackened steel, with fine Italian saddle leather pocket doors, antique mirrored glass and ambient lighting. We brought high-quality audio to each room and suite with portable units from Bang & Olufsen. Natural oak wood flooring was installed throughout the main hotel lounge and lobby areas. More flooring was installed throughout the Michelin starred restaurant, along with bespoke shelving to the servery areas. In the hotel’s showpiece chalet, we manufactured and installed bespoke alpine-style kitchens and bathrooms, to the exacting design of Charles & Co.
