Utility Aid, Avroe House, Blackpool

About Project

Utility Aid is the UK’s leading ethical energy broker for the charity and not-for-profit sector. Since 2002, the company has helped thousands of organisations secure better agreements for their gas, electricity and water—combining specialist energy-market knowledge with transparent advice and dedicated customer support.

Mirmac was appointed to transform Utility Aid’s Blackpool office at Avroe House, Avroe Crescent. Responsible for the complete workplace refurbishment—from initial concept and interior design through to project management and delivery—our team created a contemporary, practical environment tailored to the needs of Utility Aid and its people.

The scope of work included new flooring, full redecoration, electrical modifications and the installation of a new kitchen. We also formed new private offices and a boardroom using full-height, seamless glazed partitioning, introducing privacy while retaining an open, light-filled feel throughout the workplace. New office furniture was supplied and installed across the scheme to support both focused work and collaboration.

Bespoke joinery manufactured by Gemini Bespoke Joinery completed the interior. A custom media wall, integrated storage and feature planters brought warmth, character and practical functionality to the refurbished space. Delivered from concept to completion, the result is a cohesive, modern Blackpool workplace that reflects Utility Aid’s professional, people-focused approach.

“We are blown away with the new workplace. The feedback we’ve received from our team has been excellent. The project has exceeded all our expectations.”
